Yannos Margaziotis is a Greek violinist born in Athens (1967) to a musical family. He got his first music lessons from his grandfather, Ioannis D. Margaziotis. He continued studying the violin next to Mihalis Semsis, and under a scholarship from the Onasis Foundation he completed his studies at the Musical Academy of Utrecht (the Netherlands) with Victor Lieberman, Valentin Zuhk and Lex Korf de Gidts. He received a Master''s Degree in chamber music from the Royal Academy of Hague, in Vladimir Mendelssohn''s class. As a member of the European Youth Orchestra he has toured most European capitals, performing in venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam , the Berlin Philarmonic, the Musikverein in Vienna and the Salle-Pleyelle in Paris under the conduction of such great musicians as Claudio Abaddo, Bernard Haitink, Vladimir Askenazy and Zubin Mehta.
