Simon Kappeler is a Swiss photographer based in the canton of Zurich. Working with film, he captures life in Switzerland and beyond. His approach is shaped by a sustained engagement with photography. After initially working digitally, he moved to film as a more direct and unaltered way of working. BIGGER THAN US is his first photobook. The Alps have long been a source of fascination for him, both for their scale and their fragility. The images preserve a moment in time, capturing the landscape in its present form.
