Kyle Strobel is the director of the Institute for Spiritual Formation and the professor of spiritual theology and formation at Talbot School of Theology at Biola University. A popular speaker, Strobel is the author of Formed for the Glory of God and coauthor of Beloved Dust and The Way of the Dragon or the Way of the Lamb. **He has written for Relevant, Pastors.com, Christianity Today, The Gospel Coalition, DeeperStory.com, and others. He and his family live in Fullerton, California, where he serves on the preaching team of Redeemer Church. He is the coauthor, with John Coe, of Where Prayer Becomes Real and When God Seems Distant.

Sanctification and the Life of Faith follows two books coauthored by Kyle Strobel on the practical outworking of sanctification, and it builds on Eilers and Strobel's coedited volume Sanctified by Grace: A Theology of the Christian Life. In this doctrinal account, Strobel and Eilers show students how to integrate theology into the life of faith and demonstrate how theological thinking is a part of Christian worship. Each chapter begins with an interlude inviting reflection on artwork that illuminates the book's themes of God's presence and hospitality and the dynamics of divine and creaturely holiness. The book also includes sidebars, chapter summaries, art, prayers, and reflections.
