In the early modern period, title pages differed significantly in size, layout, informational content, and linguistic presentation from a typical title page today. This study focuses on the syntax of title pages during the 16 th and 17 th century. Based on a corpus of over 600 examples, it examines the syntactic structures and linguistic principles underlying early modern title pages.
