One of Siegfried Bernfeld's central theoretical achievements in psychoanalysis and psychoanalytical pedagogy is the consideration of the influence of the milieu on psychological processes and structures. Starting from the concept of the social place, the contributions in this volume work out the significance of psychoanalytical conceptualizations for pedagogical professionalization in various fields of action.
