Metaphorology is a method of text analysis and text treatment that was promoted and practiced by Hans Blumenberg but had little broader impact. It has a greater scope of relevance and deeper implications than previously recognized and practiced. Metaphor, Myth, and the Raw are core concepts that underlie the theory and are presented in chapters that can be read alone to illustrate specific problem areas.
