Following the success of Made in Japan, this expanded second volume returns on a significantly grander scale. Developed as a premium 480-page hardbound edition, Generations takes a deeper look into Japan's contemporary design landscape, bringing together studios at different stages of practice.

Organised into three categories based on years of establishment - emerging studios, mid-generation practices, and long-standing heavyweights - the book examines how perspectives shift over time, from ambition and experimentation to longevity, adaptation and legacy.

Featuring creatives working across branding, editorial design, illustration, packaging, spatial design and beyond, each contributor responds to a tailored set of questions reflecting their stage of practice, offering insight into the realities of running a creative studio while navigating the current landscape in Japan today.

More than a showcase of visual work, Made in Japan: Generations traces the conversations, values and experiences passed between generations - revealing how Japanese graphic design continues to evolve while remaining rooted in cultural identity, precision and craft.
