The book presents a succinct summary of methods for the synthesis of various biologically active heterocycles using different green chemistry synthetic methodologies like grinding, microwave, ultrasonic, heterogeneous Lewis acid catalysis in aqueous micellar medium, dicationic ionic liquids, fluorinated alcohols, cationic quaternary ammonium surfactants and biopolymer entrapped Lewis acid catalysis.

Dr. Trushant R. Lohar has completed his M.Sc. degree in Organic Chemistry from Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 2013; where he secured Gold Medal. He is also the recipient of DST-INSPIRE Fellowship. He has completed his Ph.D. degree under guidance of Prof. (Mrs.) R. S. Salunkhe from Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 2018.
