Staging International Feminisms

This is a landmark anthology of international feminist theatre research. A three-part structure orientates readers through Cartographies of feminist critical navigations of the global arena; the staging of feminist Interventions in a range of international contexts; and Manifestos for today's feminist practitioners, activists and academics.

'One of the achievements of Staging International Feminisms is its impressive encapsulation of the potential of theatre...the articles in this very useful collection are well written, and are persuasively and passionately argued...collectively, the chapters bring a richness of experience and theory to each analysis...Staging International Feminisms is an excellent compendium of twenty-first century international feminisms in a broad context of performance. Its range of performance contexts locates multiple interpretations of feminism, but throughout, it offers theoretically sophisticated arguments and practical, community - based work that look towards a better future.' Joanne Tompkins, University of Queensland, Contemporary Theatre Review
