High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Saginaw Bay Southern (reporting marks SBS) is a shortline railroad operating in the lower peninsula of Michigan. It interchanges with the Lake State Railway, CSXT, the Huron Eastern & Saginaw Valley Railway, and the Mid-Michigan Railroad. It is a subsidiary of the Lake State Railway. On October 29, 2005, Saginaw Bay Southern began operation over 67 miles of former CSX trackage. The routes taken over from CSX include the Dean Subdivison (Saginaw to Midland), the Bay City Subdivision (Saginaw to Bay City), and part of the Saginaw Subdivision from Mt. Morris to Saginaw.
