Meadow Manor is a beautiful and evocative book on Rachel Ashwell’s new English country home in Somerset, for followers of Shabby Chic and those who aspire to live the country dream.

Rachel’s intentions were to decorate her home Meadow Manor sympathetically to the historical values and authentic details of the 17th-century farmhouse and treat its venerable old bones with respect. Much of her furniture transitioned seamlessly from California and Texas to Somerset—much-loved treasures found their place, miraculously and magically. The book explores every room of the house, beginning with the large country kitchen, the cosy sitting rooms and Rachel’s studio. These are followed by four bedrooms, Rachel’s bedroom, boudoir and bathroom, a laundry room and, up in the attic, a dedicated home for her treasured collection of linens and vintage textiles.
