Ming and Wah Chen are identical twins who love history, plucky heroes and anything by Agatha Christie. Graduates of Harvard and Columbia Universities respectively, they have authored three picture books together, including the Kirkus Reviews-starred picture book Escape: One Day We Had to Run. They live in Hong Kong and Los Angeles and have six wonderful children between them.

Sarah Morrissette is an illustrator from California, based in Vienna. She grew up on a Greek island and spent her teen years on a hippie commune in Northern California. After studying English at UCLA, she met her husband and moved to Austria. Her cartoons have appeared in publications like The New Yorker, Narrative, Alta, and Woman's World. This is her first time illustrating a children's book.

Ten-year-old twins Ming and Wah can get to the bottom of any mystery! Sometimes they disagree on methods, but they're always in sync when they crack a case. With a librarian mother and a journalist father, they were practically born to be detectives. Luckily, their small town in New Jersey is filled with mysteries, big and small: a vandalized neighborhood, a rigged horseshoe contest, and even a masked burglar!
