When she's not writing, she consults for some of the world's leading children's and young adult imprints and publishing houses. She also teaches graduate-level courses in children's publishing and literature. Mary Kate lives in Chatham, New Jersey, with her husband and daughter.

Rachael Parfitt Hunt is a graphic designer and hand-lettering artist with more than 30 years of publishing experience, mainly originating ideas for and designing award-winning pre-school novelty books and children's books.
