Joachim Mischke studierte Musikwissenschaft, Publizistik und Anglistik. Er ist Chefreporter beim Hamburger Abendblatt für den Bereich Kultur. Seine journalistische Leidenschaft gilt allen Facetten der Musik- und Kulturstadt Hamburg. Insbesondere die Entstehung der Elbphilharmonie hat er von Anfang an begleitet. Joachim Mischke hat mehrere Bücher veröffentlicht, u.a. Hamburg Musik! (2008), und ist Jurymitglied beim Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik e.V.

Michael Zapf fotografiert und dokumentiert seit 37 Jahren seine Heimatstadt Hamburg und deren rasante Entwicklung. Seine Fotografien erscheinen in Tages- und Wochenzeitungen, Magazinen und Buchpublikationen. Buchveröffentlichungen u. a. Die Nordfriesischen Inseln und Halligen.
