Fujii Hideto is Professor of Tourism and Transport in the School of Commerce, Meiji University, Japan, and Dean of the Graduate School of Commerce. He is the author of Gendai k ts ron no keifu to k z [Modern transport studies from a historical and structural perspective] (Zeimu Keiri Ky kai, 2012) and Gendai no kank jigy ron [Modern tourism] (Zeimu Keiri Ky kai, 2014). Recently, he has taken an interest in transport and its related infrastructure as tourism resources for heritage tourism. Prior to entering academia, he had experience working in the Japanese tourism industry.
