Tanya Fitzgerald is Professor of Higher Education and Dean and Head of the Graduate School of Education at the University of Western Australia. She has an extensive record of leadership, research, and teaching in universities in New Zealand, England, and Australia. Tanya's research interests span the history of women's higher education and higher education policy and leadership. She serves on a number of international editorial boards and has been editor of History of Education Review (20022012) and Journal of Educational Administration and History (20072017, with Helen M Gunter, University of Manchester). Forthcoming guest editorships include Pedagogica Historica (with Simonetta Polenghi, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Milan) and IrishEducational Studies (with Judith Harford, University College, Dublin and Pat O'Connor, University of Limerick). In addition, Tanya is Series Editor of Perspectives on Leadership in Higher Education (Bloomsbury Academic, with Jon Nixon and Helen M Gunter). Prior to July 2019, Tanya was Research Professor at La Trobe University, Melbourne.
