Klappentext

Journalist David Sheen reports reveals how Netanyahu's inclusion of far-right Jewish Power in the coalition marks a dangerous shift towards realizing Rabbi Meir Kahane's ethnocentric dreams.

After Israeli voters made it the third largest party in the Knesset in November 2022, Benjamin Netanyahu brought the far-right Jewish Power into his governing coalition. Its leader, Itamar Ben-Gvir, was made National Security Minister, giving him control of the Israeli police. Decades after the death of arch-racist American-Israeli Rabbi Meir Kahane, his messianic followers now occupy a powerful position from which to realize his dreams of ethnically cleansing Israel and the Occupied Territories, transforming them into a Jewish theocracy.

A widely recognized investigative reporter and resident of Haifa, David Sheen reports from on-the-ground inside Israel on how the country has been dragged so far to the right that a terrorist movement responsible for inciting race riots and inspiring dozens of lone-gun murders is now an ascendant force in government. This book, of vital relevance to today's relentless Israeli assault on Gaza, looks at a frightening and still-deepening turn of events.
