The Author: Wendy Crebbin is an educator with over forty years experience. Besides working in two Australian universities as a teacher educator with expertise in teaching and learning, she spent two years as a consultant for teacher education in Namibia. Twice in the 1990s she was leader of teams that won grants from the Committee for the Advancement of University Teaching. Crebbin's approaches to teaching and learning have been acknowledged through a Deakin University Teaching Award, and in a chapter in Reflecting on University Teaching: Academics' Stories, edited by Ballantyne, Bain, and Packer.
