Bruna Veli analyses one of the sources of the Pentateuch, the so-called Priestly Narrative (Pg), and argues that this narrative does not end in the books of Exodus or Leviticus, but includes a strand in Numbers 13-14*, where it tackles the question of the divine gift of the land to the Israelites.

In recent decades the Priestly Narrative (Pg) has become the object of lively discussion, especially with regard to its actual extent, and hypotheses on the conclusion of Pg in the Sinaitic pericope (Ex 29; Ex 40; Lev 9; Lev 16) have been advanced. In this work, Bruna Veli argues that the Priestly Narrative continues after the Sinai pericope and includes one strand in Numbers 13-14*, where Pg tackles the question of the gift of the land and the entrance into Canaan in accordance with the promise made to the patriarchs and their descendants (Gen 17,8; 28,4; 35,12; 48,4; Ex 6,4.8).
