Andrea Wildenthal Hanson is a bestselling author, master certified life coach, and speaker. Since being diagnosed with having multiple sclerosis in 2000, Andrea has learned that the key to living well with MS is being an expert in what works for you. Andrea combines her experience from five years of life and weight coaching, and 15-plus years of living with MS, to provide each of her clients with a customized approach to health that includes weight loss and stress management, so that they can live a life they love. Andrea received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of North Texas, and a master's degree in human development, with a specialty in early childhood disorders, from the University of Texas at Dallas. She then became a Certified Life Coach, through Martha Beck, Inc., and became a Certified Weight Loss Coach and a Master Certified Coach through the Life Coach School. As well as running her own coaching business, Andrea worked with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as a coach for their Planning Wise program and for their Every Day Matters program, which focuses on the importance of positive thinking. The Summer 2014 issue of MS Connections magazine featured an interview with Andrea about her work with helping people with MS stay employed. She has also run classes for the Memory, Attention and Problem Solving Skills for Persons with MS (MAPSS-MS) research team at the University of Texas at Austin. Andrea loves green smoothies and hiking in the mountains. When she's not traveling the world, she lives in Dallas with her husband, Clay, and their perfect dog, Bud Friday.
