Wood is an extremely versatile building material that has been gaining great popularity in the construction industry for several years. Almost any construction task can be elaborated with skilful utilisation of different wood types in appropriate construction methods. Wood scores particularly well when used in existing buildings. This is because it is comparatively light and easy to prefabricate, meaning that even statically demanding extensions can be built in short time, which is also economically attractive.
