He is Board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine and has practiced pediatrics in diverse practice situations: primary care, urgent care and the emergency department.

Dr. Faria Pereira is an attending physician at the Texas Children's Hospital Emergency Center, Houston and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine. She is the Director of Sedation and Analgesia in the Section of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Texas Children's Hospital.
