This book gives a holistic picture on the application and resulting issues of plastics, that last a long time but at the same time remain a long time in the environment. It is intended to combine chemical fundamentals with value chain and regulatory aspects as well as risks. The text aims to provide inspiration for future material developments and concepts for material usage in the future that is more sustainable.
