J. M. Barrie (Sir James Matthew Barrie; 1860-1937), war ein schottischer Schriftsteller und Dramatiker. Sein bekanntestes Buch Peter Pan erschien zunächst als Theaterstück, dann 1911 als Roman, damals unter dem Titel Peter and Wendy.
