Time and time again we have heard this question asked, as if there could be no other answer.

Universal Healthcare Is A Moral Imperative and Economic Necessity.

He demonstrates why a highly developed society has a moral imperative to seek to provide healthcare for its citizens in accordance with its resources. He further makes the argument why in a highly developed society it is economically prudent for that society to provide basic healthcare to all its citizens.

We may disagree somewhat on the vehicle to deliver universal healthcare but whatever that vehicle is, it has to be made equally available to everyone with equal access. Anything short of that in a developed society is playing only to dogma rather than making the right choices to address the reality of human existence - we are all susceptible to illness and the responsible approach is to develop the most suitable approach that will mitigate the damages this reality can do to the society.
