This project presents the hermeneutical approaches to the QurÊ Ä n of the most prominent QurÊ Ä nic scholars in Islamic intellectual history. Not only scholars who wrote commentaries on the QurÊ Ä n in the narrow sense of the word (tafÄ sÄ«r) are to be presented, but also those who dealt hermeneutically with the QurÊ Ä n in various ways. The Handbook of QurÊ Ä nic Hermeneutics is the first book that discusses all the hermeneutical fields of the QurÊ Ä n. It will be published in seven volumes.
