The textbook, now in its 5th edition, contains a systematic introduction to the basics of digital technology and digital systems. The concepts are introduced step by step together with the essential language elements of the hardware description language VHDL. Through simulations and analyzes of FPGA hardware implementations, the understanding of the VHDL language constructs is systematically sharpened.
