This volume summarizes the theoretical and empirical findings of the research focus "Professionalism of Social Work" at RheinMain University. They refer to different aspects of difference in which professionals are involved and which they help to (re)produce. Specific challenges to professionalism in the fields of education and health-related social work and the relationship between professionals and researchers as well as between research and professional development and policy are examined and discussed.
