After an introduction that traces the impact of book printing on the literary history of the 15 th and early 16 th centuries, the volume proposes three models for the concept of "literary interest formation": (1) Nuremberg as a paradigm of urban literature; (2) The impact of reform movements on literary production and reception; and (3) the protagonists and works of German humanism.
