During his lifetime, Richard Dehmel (18631920) was one of the leading modernist poets writing in German. Together with art patron Ida Dehmel (18701942), he led a glittering life as an artist. But their world went under and fell into oblivion. This volume presents the latest cultural studies, social history, and material studies perspectives on the Dehmels and their joint life's work.
