This volume edits and comments on 151 spiritual poems by Sigmund von Birken (16261681). The poems are accompanied by textual criticism, historical contextualization, and placed in their theological historical contexts. The edition includes several indices (index of metrical forms, index of titles and first lines, index of persons, and an index of biblical passages).
