Philip Krüger examines aspects of gender-homogeneous educational and counseling services for expectant fathers from a coping theory perspective in social work, focusing in particular on the irreversible transition to fatherhood against the backdrop of social tensions arising from hegemonic masculinity and caring masculinities. His work highlights various interactions and tensions among expectant fathers at the micro, meso, and macro levels and the coping strategies involved, and discusses the potential of the gender-homogeneous educational and counseling services examined, particularly from the perspective of social work.
