The study looks at the transmission and the textual history of the »St. Georgen Sermons«, an Alemannic collection of study sermons for nuns dating from the first half of the 13th century. Taking its bearings from the Würzburg School approach to the history of transmission, the study first assembles the various manuscript versions, ordering them on the basis of a critical analysis of variants and examining their relationship to the original collection. Detailed description is given of the transmission paths and the revision methods applied from the 13th to the late 15th centuries, both to the collection as a whole and to individual texts.
