Helen Tate-Worch wurde 1974 in Solihull, England geboren. Nach dem Abitur war sie ein Jahr in Hessen als Fremdsprachenassistentin und während des Studiums auch ein Jahr in Schleswig-Holstein. Studiert hat sie Germanistik und Sportwissenschaft in Wales. Nach dem Abschluss als Bachelor of Science ging sie nach Halle/Saale. Dort war sie gleichzeitig an einem Landesgymnasium und an der Universität tätig. Hier begann auch die erste Arbeit als Sprachdozentin für Geschäftsenglisch u.a. bei Siemens an. In Halle lernte sie ihren zukünftigen Mann kennen und zog später mit ihm und dem ersten Kind nach Dresden. Nach drei Jahren und Beschäftigung u.a. an der TU Dresden führte der berufliche Weg nach Filderstadt. Nach der Geburt des zweitens Kindes arbeitete sie für ein Sprachinstitut, das Sprachdozenten an Firmen vermittelt. In dieser Zeit lernte sie durch Zufall die Inhaber Beate Baylie und Karin Schweizer von besser englisch lernen kennen und stieg als Sprachdozentin für Kinder und später Senioren ein. Seit Beginn der Autumn Years Lehrwerkreihe Stand sie dem bel-Team beratend zur Seite. Durch das Wachstum der bel- Sprachschule entstand die Gelegenheit ein erstes Lehrwerk Autumn Years Discoveries im Alleingang zu schreiben.
