This workbook is an introduction to Arab studies, Oriental studies and Islamic studies to the extent that they are relevant for students of the Romance languages. The focus is not limited to linguistic aspects, which today are relatively easy to follow up, but also extends to cultural contacts in the Mediterranean area as far afield as North Africa and Asia.
