Nowadays, Internet domains are not only one of the 'musts' in companies' advertising strategies; they are also becoming increasingly important for private persons, clubs and public institutions as individual presentation platforms. Cornelia Birner examines the liability function of Internet addresses. After giving a detailed analysis of the legal nature of Internet domains, the author begins by determining the concrete subject of the execution, after which she examines the enforcement of property liability in enforcement and insolvency proceedings. In doing so, she also shows the ways of evaluating domain names, and takes a look at various aspects of the trademark and competition law, dealing in particular with the discussion surrounding the influence of liability law on the name and trademark functions of domains.
