The driving style is shaped by human behavior, which results from situational circumstances in traffic on the one hand and from emotions and physical condition on the other. The temporal differences in behavior lead to deviations within a global, long-term driving style characterization. This thesis contributes to creating an objective framework that combines the understanding of the driving style and the behavioral processes of a driver to be able to evaluate them based on their driver individuality. The multivariate description of driving behavior enables new approaches and strategies with regard to the design of driver assistance functions, driver behavior modeling and driver-specific applications in other mobility sectors.

Der Fahrstil eines Fahrers ist geprägt von seinen menschlichen Verhaltensweisen, die sich zum einen aus situativen Gegebenheiten im Verkehrsgeschehen und zum anderen aus Emotionen und der körperlichen Verfassung ergeben. Die zeitlich bedingten Verhaltensunterschiede führen zu Abweichungen innerhalb einer globalen, langfristigen Fahrstilcharakterisierung. Die vorliegende Arbeit liefert einen Beitrag, einen objektiven Rahmen zu schaffen, der das Verständnis des Fahrstils und die verhaltenspsychologischen Vorgänge eines Fahrers kombiniert, um diesen anhand seiner Fahrerindividualität bewerten zu können. Die multivariate Fahrverhaltensbeschreibung ermöglicht neue Herangehensweisen und Strategien im Hinblick auf die Auslegung von Fahrerassistenzfunktionen, auf die Fahrerverhaltensmodellierung sowie auf die fahrerspezifischen Anwendungen in weiteren Mobilitätssektoren.
