The implementation practice of "gold-plating" in the transposition of European directives - considered negative by Germany and France - is the focus of Anna Charlotte Kümpers' study. She compares the control elements established in each country to prevent this transposition practice and critically assesses these efforts based on European Union law and the two countries' legal systems.
