This innovative linguistic and cultural-historical study examines interpersonal social relationships during the Early New High German era. The work focuses on activities of linguistic exclusion along with the underlying pragma-grammatical and pragmasemantic strategies associated with them, as well as their impact on ten important marginal groups.
