This volume of letters of the Fruitful Society (16171680) the last in the correspondence chronologically marks the final phase of the Academy under its first president, Prince Louis I of Anhalt-Köthen (16171650). During the Thirty Years' War, the Academy's philological and literary work was accompanied by an irenic impetus that emphasized conciliatory communication and the settlement of conflicts.
