He received his doctorate from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1988. * Kuiling Ding, PhD,* is Executive Vice President at Shanghai Jiaotong University. He received his doctorate in 1990 from Nanjing University and is a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. **Zhongmin Liu, PhD, is Director of the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics and the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology. He received his doctorate in Physical Chemistry from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics in 1990.*
