Chronicle of the Pulitzer Prizes for Fiction - Discussions, Decisions and Documents

The School of Journalism at Columbia University has awarded the Pulitzer Prize since 1917. Nowadays there are prizes in 21 categories from the fields of journalism, literature and music. The Pulitzer Prize Archive presents the history of this award from its beginnings to the present: In parts A to E the awarding of the prize in each category is documented, commented and arranged chronologically. Part F covers the history of the prize biographically and bibliographically. Part G provides the background to the decisions.

Seit 1917 wird der Pulitzer-Preis jährlich von der School of Journalism an der New Yorker Columbia Universität vergeben. Mittlerweile existieren Preise in 21 Kategorien aus den Bereichen Journalismus, Literatur und Musik. The Pulitzer Price Archive stellt die Geschichte dieser Auszeichnung von den Anfängen bis zur Gegenwart vor: Die Abteilungen A bis E dokumentieren und kommentieren, chronologisch geordnet, die Preisverleihungen. Abteilung F erschließt die Geschichte der Preise bio- und bibliographisch. Abteilung G liefert die Hintergründe zu den Entscheidungen.
