Soraya and the Lake Monster

Salima Alikhan has been a writer and illustrator for sixteen years. She is also a college English and creative writing professor. When she went on school field trips as a child, she liked to imagine what sorts of creatures might be lurking in some of those fun places. She wrote stories and drew pictures about those creatures, and loves that she still gets to do that.

The mud...the bugs...Soraya is not sure she wants to be on an educational camping trip. Naomi had to drag her and Christoff along. But adventure awaits the three friends when they meet a mysterious magical creature and learn of a terrible threat to the lake near their campsite. Soraya might even get the chance to be a nature-saving superhero, just like her comic-book idol, Nimbla Moony!
