Classical mechanics deals with the motion of macroscopic objects such as projectiles, parts of machinery as well as the astronomical objects including planets, stars, spacecrafts, etc. Newton's three laws of motion form the basis of classical mechanics. Some of the other forces studied within this field are Lorentz force for electromagnetism and gravitational force. It is broadly classified into three main branches such as statics, dynamics and kinematics.
