The combination of the aggressive policy reforms for power generation sector and the continued increase in demand pull from ever growing demand for power requirements, would allow IPPs to operate as commercially and financially viable units in India. The objective of this book is to identify key issues in private financing of power generation in India. With opening up of the power sector and aggressive push to invite private investments, the book would identify and analyse the important issues which would enable private sector investments (Independent Private Producers) to emerge as financially viable and commercially successful ventures

Prof. Samiksha Ojha is currently teaching finance courses as a Faculty with MDI, Gurgaon,India. Before MDI, she has taught in ICFAI ,Faculty of Management Studies etc.She has completed PhD from Delhi University, Department of Financial Studies in the area of power sector projects with specific reference to Independent Power Producers.
