Erik presents frequently at conferences around the world, including major conferences like FOSSY, Oracle Cloud World, ASCEND and Blueprint4D, as well as regional conferences around the United States. He has worked with Oracle Linux since the late 90s, and has been working with UNIX-like systems since the 70s. When not flying to the far points of the country from the Atlanta Metro area, he enjoys spending time with his family at their private observatory, where the telescopes outnumber the people.
