Looking at the Protoromance suffix /-'ur-a/, this study offers new insights into Protoromance derivational morphology. After reconstructing and analyzing some 45 Protoromance etyma containing the suffix /-'ur-a/, it details the phonological, morphological and semantical properties of said suffix in a variational perspective.
