Two example of pipeline real-time data integration are elaborated: integration of pipeline WebGIS (Geographic Information System) and pipeline SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) via OPC (OLE for Process Control) technology, integration of pipeline network virtual reality system and pipeline SCADA via OPC, JNI (Java Native Interface) and SAI (Scene Access Interface). Dr. Zhenpei Li has a master degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a Ph.D degree in Control Science and Engineering, both from Northwestern Polytechnical University, China. He became a lecturer at School of Civil & Geomatics, Southwest Petroleum University, China since 2011. He is currently an Associate Professor at the same institute. From June 2014 to July 2016, he was a Mitacs Elevate Postdoctoral Fellow at Department of Geography, University of Western Ontario, Canada. His research focuses on Geospatial technology and its application in Oil & Gas pipeline, pipeline spatial data modeling, 3DGIS, WebGIS, Web3D and Network Virtual Reality. Lehao Yang graduated from Southwest Petroleum University with a Bachelor degree of Science in Surveying and Mapping Engineering. She is currently a postgraduate student at Department of Surveying & Mapping Engineering, Southwest Petroleum University, China. Her research focuses on Web3D technology, 3DGIS and Virtual Geographic Environment.
