Proceedings of the first international conference on the council of Nicaea and its creed

This volume is the outcome of the first international conference held in Istanbul in December 2022 and promoted by the Fondazione per le scienze religiose. It delves deeply into the Council of Nicaea's historical significance, particularly its role in shaping the Nicene Creed. Alberto Melloni is Full Professor of History of Christianity at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Secretary of FSCIRE - Fondazione per le scienze religiose (Bologna and Palermo) and Chair holder of the UNESCO Chair on Religious Pluralism and Peace at the University of Bologna. Since 2020, he has been also one of the European Commission's Chief Scientific Advisors. Costanza Bianchi is Postdoctoral Reasercher at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. She defended a PhD thesis about the Coptic translation of the Antiochian Corpus Canonum.
