The unique feature of this book is its combination of Ilizarov, Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen/Orthopedic Trauma Association (AO/OTA), and Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Surgery (LLRS) principles, which will allow it to meet the needs of a broader community. Thus, its goal is to provide orthopedic surgeons at all levels, from zero to master level, of training and experience with a tabletop guide offering comprehensive information on the use of external fixation and combined techniques to treat patients with injuries, the consequences of fractures, and orthopedic pathologies.
Offers orthopaedic surgeons the opportunity to move step by step from beginner to the master level The principles of Ilizarov, LLRS and AO/OTA are agreed and coordinated Terminology and classifications will be standardized and unified
Autorentext
Leonid Nikolaevich Solomin, after graduating with honors from the Blagoveshchensk State Medical University in 1986, specialized in traumatology and orthopedics. Since 2000 he has been a leading researcher and Orthopedic Surgeon at Vreden National Medical Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics (St. Petersburg, Russia). His focus is on the development, perfection, substantiation and clinical application of external and combined fixation in fractures, non-unions, deformations, defects of the long bones and foot, including congenital and infection problems, and limb lengthening and reconstruction. He is honorable Professor of Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics (Kurgan, Russia), and a member of ASAMI International, ASAMI Russia, AO/OTA.
